About
Jason Thompson is a Bozeman, Montana based outdoor photographer and videographer. Having worked as a full-time professional in the field for over 15 years, Jason has developed an intricate range of technical and interpersonal skills that have enabled him to consistently work with and document some of the best outdoor athletes in the world. Whether shooting for Fortune 500 companies, international publications, or local ski brands. Jason’s qualifications as a visual creative has paved the way for his forays into commercial work, further broadening his professional toolkit.
While on assignments all over the world, experiencing a variety of different cultures first-hand has given Jason a nuanced understanding of the human experience. Empathy. Gratefulness. Perseverance. Kindness. Curiosity. These characteristics are all core to Jason’s identity. While technical skill is important, the traits listed above have all come to shape his creative approach and truly define who Jason Thompson is, both as a photographer, designer, and as a human being.
In recent years, Jason has expanded into the field of user experience design, capitalizing on his innate eye for visual creativity. With a background in formal UX design training, he brings to the table a solutions-based approach to project design. Keeping both people and the planet in focus, Jason’s capacity as a long-time visual storyteller allows him to craft top-notch user experiences through design and visual creativity.
