About Me
Photography is my passion. Producing photos and videos is both a professional and personal journey, a way to connect with people, the land, to open my eyes to new cultures, perspectives, and open myself up to others. To be vulnerable through the viewfinder.
I grew up on the rainy side of Washington State near Olympic National Park, a camera in my hand adventuring throughout the Washington Cascades. Soccer was my outlet, my savior. At Montana State University - Bozeman in the late 1990's as a wide eyed youngster, that I discovered climbing and skiing. I had found my tribe of other adventurous like-minded souls.
Having worked as a full-time professional in the field for 15 years, I have demonstrated an intricate range of technical and interpersonal skills that have enabled me to consistently work with and document amazing athletes and, innovative companies.
As a photographer and designer, I have worked with unique brands to collaborate strategically and produce visuals that reach a target audience. From start-ups, to international brands, I can’t wait to work together. The goal is to create a relationship, so that we create impactful work together.
My current workflow is ~ 40% cinematography and ~60% photography. I love working with all sizes of businesses in the outdoor industry because I value long term partnerships in creating story.
I live in Bozeman, Montana with my wife Anne Gilbert Chase and our young son, Stone Wilder.
My favorite recent book was: "The Creative Act: A Way Of Being" by Rick Rubin
